Yahoo Local Listing is an online local advertising system that gives businesses the ability to provide detailed business information to millions of potential customers.
Three products currently make up Yahoo! Local Listings:
Basic Listings are free of charge and allow business owners to add listings and include important details such as operation information (hours of operation, accepted payment methods, etc.) services provided & products sold a link to a web site (when applicable).
Requirements For Listing Business
- The listing must be for a business based in the United States.
- The business must operate a physical store location or service a local region.
- The categorization provided must be appropriate.
- The website provided must be functional.
- Each can only be submitted once. Duplicate or substantially similar listings will not be accepted.
- In order to qualify for the program, the business must provide either a web site or detailed information such as hours of operation, credit cards accepted, or other information that is valuable to the user.
- The web site for the listing, if any, must be in the English language with the official name visible to any visitor to that site.
- The web site for the listing, if any, must not contain any content, products, services or other information that, in Yahoo!’s reasonable determination may be illegal to sell under any applicable law, statute, ordinance or regulation, that may infringe or violate anyone’s rights, or that, Yahoo! believes, in its sole discretion, is inflammatory, offensive, or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit of the Service.
Process For Listing Business
To submit your business, visit the Local Listings Sign-up page and follow the steps there to enter your details and preview your listing.
Where are Yahoo! Local Listings Displayed?
Basic Listings are displayed in Yahoo! Local search results in response to relevant user queries. Key information, including your business’s name, address, and phone number, is displayed on the search results page. For more detailed information, users can click on any listing to reach a Details Page, which includes the additional information you provide, including completely description and photos.

It takes 5 business days for your Local Listing to appear in Yahoo!
